RESOLUTION NO. 90-30
AUTHORIZING RECONVEYANCE OF TAX -FORFEITED LANDS
FOR CITY PROPERTY LOCATED AT
3336, 3344 AND 3354 ZARTHAN AVENUE SOUTH
WHEREAS, by conveyance of tax -forfeited lands the following parcels were
conveyed to the City of St. Louis Park by the State of Minnesota:
West 20 feet of Lots 3, 4, 5, also the West 20 feet of the South 29.37
feet of Lot 2, also West 20 feet of that part of Lot 6 lying North of
South 15 feet thereof including adjacent East 1/2 of vacated alley,
Block 2, Maple Park Addition to St. Louis Park North.
WHEREAS, the public uses for which said lots were secured have terminated,
except for a drainage utility easement over the entire 20 -foot strip and the
adjacent East 1/2 of vacated alley, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the
above-described property be reconveyed to the State of Minnesota, and that the
Mayor and City Manager be authorized and directed to execute in behalf of the
City proper deed of reconveyance for that purpose.
1. The subject parcel as a whole is unbuildable.
2. This Westerly 20 -foot parcel and the adjacent East 1/2 of vacated
alley is to be divided as follows:
a. The South 29.37 feet of Lot 2 and the North 37.25 feet of Lot 3,
Block 2, Maple Park Addition to St. Louis Park North.
b. That part of Lot 3 lying South of the North 37.2 feet thereof,
Lot 4, and that part of Lot 5 lying North of the South 35.24
feet thereof, Block 2, Maple Park Addition to St. Louis Park North.
c. The South 35.24 feet of Lot 5 and the North 31.37 feet of Lot 6,
Block 2, Maple Park Addition to St. Louis Park North.
3. The parcels are to be sold to the adjoining property owner at a
private sale.
4. This 20 -foot parcel and adjacent East 1/2 of vacated alley shall be
combined with the purchaser's parcel.
5. The sale of the above-described parcels is approved.

RESOLUTION DECLARING NO CITY PUBLIC NEED -47(
FOR COUNTY OWNED PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 3354 ZARTHAN AVENUE

WHEREAS, the City Council of St. Louis Park has recei'(ied notice from thee'
Hennepin County regarding their interest in selling tax forfeit property, legally described as
West 20 feet of Lots 3, 4, 5 also the west 20 feet of the south 29.37 feet of Lot 2
also west 20 feet of that part of Lot 6 lying north of south 15 feet thereof
including adjacent east 1/2 of vacated alley Maple Park Addition to St. Louis pfao
Park North.

WHEREAS, the City Council has determined there is no existing or future need by
the City for the property;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. The City Council hereby finds that it has no objection to Hennepin County's
disposition of the Property.
2. The Property shall be reconveyed to the State of Minnesota.
3. The City of St. Louis Park requests that the sale of the above described Property be
to the abutting property owner.
4. That the disposition of the Property be subject to a drainage and utility easement
over the Property to the City of St. Louis Park.
