HomeMy WebLinkAbout89-42 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1989/04/17RESOLUTION 89-42' RESOLUTION APPROVING THE r'.iREI.'IGHTER LABOR AGREEMENT T Arm ESTABLISHING SALARIES AND INSURANCE SONS FOR THE YEARS ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1988 AND DECEMBER 31, 1989 WHEREAS, It is the desire of both the City and the International Association of Firefighters Local No. 993 to enter into a Collective Bargaining Agreement for years 1988 and 1989, and WHEREAS, as authorized by Section 3-301 of the St. Louis Park Ordinance Code, the City Council has established the "Position Classification Plan and Salary Administration Program for the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota", and WHEREAS, Section 3-301 provides that as often as necessary, the Position Clasification and Salary Plan shall be reviewed and revised by the Council; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St Louis Park that the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute a Collective Baargaining Agreement between the City and the I.A.F.F. Local 993, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Salary Structure for Firefighter, Fire Inspector, Fire Captain and Fire Marshal, as shown in the Position Classification and Salary Plan for the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, be amended as follows: RANGE Fire Fighter: Fire Inspector: Stems SALARY TABLE EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1988 A (Entry) B C (12 Aso.) (24 Mb.) D E (36 Aso.) (48 Mb.) Bi -Wkly $1,059.75 $1,112.92 $1,168.09 $1,226.77 $1,288.46 Etployees assigned by the EMPLOYER as Fire l Inspector willnreceive an additional 5% of top Firefighter as � pay in addition to their regular Firefighter wage. At the conclusion of their assignment as Fire Inspector, the employee in that position will return to their previous position as we11 as to a salary level commensurate with their level of service. Driver: Pending adjudication, no supple ental pay applies. Fire Pending adjudication, the following rates apply: Captain: Bi -Weekly $1,355.81 Fire Pending adjudication, the following rates Marshal: Bi -Weekly $1,355.81 apply: Note: $1,423.73 $1,423.73 Fire Captain and Fire Marshal have only entry and top rates. Fire Marshal shall be paid at the same rate of Fire Captain. This salary table is subject to change based on final determination of requests for change in Award in Case No. 88 -PN -485 or final determination of any actions to vacate the Award under Minnesota Statute 572.19. (48 Mo.) $1,214.82 $1,275.84 $1,340.00 Eitployees assigned by the EMPLOYER as Fire Inspector will receive an additional 5% of top Firefighter as supplemental pay in addition to their regular Firefighter wage. At the conclusion of their assignment as Fire Inspector, the employee in that position will return to their previous position as well as to a salary level OOnmensurate with their level of service. Fire Marshal shall be paid at the same rate as Fire Captain. This salary table is subject to charge based on final determination of requests for change in Award in Case No. 88 -pfd -485 or final determination of any actions to vacate the Award under Minnesota Statute 572.19. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City's maximum contribution toward hospital/medical/life benefits for I.A.F.F. Local 993 employees effective January 1, 1988, shall be $185.15 per month per employee, and effective January 1, 1989, shall be $207.97 per month per employee.
