LOUIS PARK PRIMARY ELEC'T'ION HELD SEPTEMBER 26, 1989 WHEREAS, the St. Louis Park City Council has duly met as a canvassing board as required by the City Charter for the purpose of can- vassing the election returns of the City Primary Election held September 26, 1989, wherein paper ballots were used for the casting of votes in every voting precinct of the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council has duly inspected the return sheets of each Precinct prepared and certified to by the election judges of each Precinct; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council as follows: 1) Said election returns be hereby canvassed, and the number of votes received by each candidate, together with the number of defective and blank ballots, are hereby determined to be as follows: PRIMARY ELECTION OFFICE VOTES Counci]menber At Large B Ward D. Johnson 304 Mark Rosen 107 Jane Tschida 647 Total votes counted for candidates 1058 Total defective and blank ballots 11 TOTAL number of persons voting 1069 2) The number of persons registered to vote before election day was 29,580 and the number of persons registering on election day was 12, for a total of 29,592 St. Louis Park registered voters. 3) Total absentee ballots counted: 18 -2- 4) Upon the basis of the above returns, the following persons have been duly nominated for the Office of Counci]member At Large "B" to be placed on the ballot for the City General Election to be held on November 7, 1989: Councilmember At Large "B" Ward D.
