RESOLUTION REPEALING RESOLUTION 88-138 AND
ESTABLISHING PUBLIC WORKS
EMPLOYEES' SALARIES AND INSURANCE CONTRIBUTIONS
FOR THE YEARS ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1988
AND DECEMBER 31, 1989
WHEREAS, a one cent per hour inaccuracy in the hourly rate for
the Building Maintenanace Laborer, Maintenance II and
Maintenanace IV positions existed in Resolution 88-138; and
WHEREAS, the City of St. Louis Park wishes to rectify this error
by increasing the hourly rate of the Building Maintenance
Laborer, Maintenance II and Maintenance IV positions by one cent
per hour; and
WHEREAS, as authorized by Section 3-301 of the St. Louis Park
Ordinance Code, the City Council has established the "Position
Classification Plan and Salary Administration Program for the
City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota"; and
WHEREAS, Section 3-301 provides that as often as necessary the
Position Classification and Salary Plan shall be reviewed and
revised by the Council; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park
that the salary structure for members of I.U.O.E. Local No. 49 as
shown in the Position Classification and Salary Plan for the City
of St. Louis Park, as amended by Resolution No. 86-07, is
retroactive to September 19, 1988 and is further amended as
follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all classifications for 1988/89,
except the Laborers' classification for 1988 will receive a 2%
lump sum payment based upon their prior years hourly rate. The
payment will be for all normally scheduled hours excluding over
time hours.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City shall pay to the insurers
from the funds of the City, for approved group insurance coverage
for Public Works Employees (Local No. 49), permanent or
probationary, regardless of their manner of selection or
appointment, any insuring organization under contract with the
City of St. Louis Park effective January 1, 1988 through December
31, 1989, $185.00 or an amount equal to the average paid by the
employer for the employees non-management/non-essential employees
which ever is greater.
