A RESOLUTION GRANTING SPECIAL (CONDITIONAL USE) PERMIT UNDER
SECTION 14-123.100(2) OF THE ST. LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE CODE RELATING
TO ZONING TO PERMIT CONSTRUCTION OF A BUILDING ADDITION IN A
FLOODPLAIN FOR PROPERTY ZONED I-1, INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT, AND F-2,
FLOODPLAIN DISTRICT, LOCATED AT 6999-7009 OXFORD STREET
BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park:
Findings
1. D. J. Bogema and Anderberg-Lund Investments (Jack Anderberg) have made
application to the City Council for a special permit under Section 14-123.100(2) of the
St. Louis Park Ordinance Code for the purpose of constructing a building addition within a
I-1, Industrial District, and F-2, Floodplain District located at 6999-7009 Oxford Street
for the legal description as follows, to -wit:
That part of Tract B lying Southwesterly of a line drawn at right angles
to the Northwesterly line of said Tract from a point therein distant 580
feet Southwesterly from the most Northerly corner of said Tract and
lying Northeasterly of a line drawn at right angles to the Northwesterly
line of said Tract from a point therein distant 865 feet Southwesterly
from the most Northerly corner of said Tract, except the South 30 feet
thereof, Registered Land Survey No. 829, Files of the Registrar of Titles,
County of Hennepin. (Torrens Certificate No. 647945)
The Southwesterly 285 feet of that part of Tract B lying Northeasterly
of a line drawn at a right angle to the Northwesterly line of said Tract
from a point therein distant 580 feet Southwesterly of the most Northerly
corner of said Tract, Registered Land Survey No. 829, Files of Registrar
of Titles, County of Hennepin. (Torrens Certificate No. 596082)
2. The City Council has considered the advice and recommendation of the Planning
Commission (Case No. 88 -54 -SP) and the effect of the proposed building addition on the
health, safety and welfare of the occupants of the surrounding lands, existing and
anticipated traffic conditions, the effect on values of properties in the surrounding area,
the effect of the use on the Comprehensive Plsn,_and_tompliance-with -the -intent-of the
Zoning Ordinance.
3. The Council has determined that the proposed building addition will not be
detrimental to the health, safety, or general welfare of the community nor will it cause
serious traffic congestion nor hazards, nor will it seriously depreciate surrounding property
values, and the proposed building addition is in harmony with the general purpose and
intent of the Zoning Ordinance and the Comprehensive Plan.
Conclusion
The special permit to permit the construction of a building addition at the location
described is granted based on the findings set forth above and subject to the following
conditions:
1. The site shall be developed, used and maintained in accordance
Plan, and Exhibit B - Elevations.
2. The asphalt on the City property bordering the south side of the

3. The lowest floor elevation of any structure shall be at or above
(187.7 feet City Datum).
4. All improvements shall be completed by October 31, 1989.
