HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-42 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1987/04/20RESOLUTION NO. 87-42 RESOLUTION ORDERING THE PLACEMENT OF TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNS ON WEST 31ST STREET FROM XYLON AVENUE TO THE EAST DRIVEWAY OF AQUILA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WHEREAS, the City of St. Louis Park has received a request by the School Patrol at Aquila Elementary School for the placement of "No Parking" restrictions; and WHEREAS, West 31st Street is under the jurisdiction of the City; and WHEREAS, the City of St. Louis Park has conducted Traffic Study No. 367 with respect to the parking restrictions; and WHEREAS, the City contacted a representative from the Aquila Elementary School and is in agreement with this proposal; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota that: 1. The City of St. Louis Park shall install parking restrictions on the north side of West 31st Street from Xylon Avenue to the east driveway to Aquila Elementary School. Adopted by the City Council April 20, 1987 Attest: City Cler, Reviewed for administration: Y1t.dA ty Manager M or Approve „• to form and execution: City A .rney RESOLUTION NO. 87-42A RESOLUTION APPROVING CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM 1987-1988 WHEREAS, a five-year Capital Improvement Program was prepared which takes into account the implementation of policies and programs previsouly established by the Council, the urgent need and necessity for certain projects, the appropriate sequence of construction of projects in relationship to other projects, and the capital expenditures necessary to carry on a balanced program, and WHEREAS, the five-year Capital Improvement Program allows the City to carry projects in accordance with pre -determined priorities and helps stabilize tax rates as well as revealing the source and extent of funds needed in future years, and WHEREAS, the City Council has previously prepared Capital Improvement Programs which were annually reviewed and extended an additional five years, and WHEREAS, scheduling of Capital Improvement projects allow the public to become aware of long-range municipal needs and provides a mechanism for coordination of projects with one another and to the City's long-range Compre- hensive Plan, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, hereby adopts the Capital Improvement Program 1987-1988.
