HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-185 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1987/11/02f RESOLUTION NO. 87-185 A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE SIGN AND GRAPHICS POLICY FOR SHELARD PARK AS ORIGINALLY ADOPTED BY RESOLUTION NO. 5676 ON JANUARY 17, 1977 WHEREAS, on January 17, 1977, The City Council adopted a Sign and Graphics Policy as part of the overall development plan for Shelard Park; and WHEREAS, the Holiday Inn, located at 9970 Wayzata Boulevard, has requested an amendment to said Sign and Graphics Policy to permit exterior signage with an area greater than the 350 square -foot maximum allowed for a single -tenant commercial building; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sign and Graphics Policy of Shelard Park as originally approved as Exhibit DDD in Resolution No. 5676 dated January 17, 1977, is hereby amended by adding number 6 to Part III. ALLOCATION SYSTEM, COMMERCIAL IDENTIFICATION, Section B. Signs for Single -Tenant buildings, to read as follows: III. ALLOCATION SYSTEM COMMERCIAL IDENTIFICATION B. Signs for Single -Tenant buildings. 6. A hotel with on -sale liquor and at least one restaurant shall be permitted to have up to 500 square feet of exterior signage for the purpose of enterprise identification. The maximum average letter height on any one sign shall be no greater than 5 feet.
