REPLACEMENT
RESOLUTION NO. 87-179
A RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 6406 ADOPTED ON
OCTOBER 15, 1979, AND GRANTING SPECIAL (CONDITIONAL USE)
PERMIT UNDER SECTION 14-156(6) OF THE ST. LOUIS PARK
ORDINANCE CODE RELATING TO ZONING TO ALLOW A RENTAL LOT
FOR MOTOR VEHICLES FOR PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE B-2,
BUSINESS DISTRICT, AT 7121 WAYZATA BOULEVARD
FINDINGS
WHEREAS, MRT Properties (Budget Rent A Car Systems, Inc.) has made application
to the City Council for a special permit under Section 14-156(6) of the St. Louis Park
Ordinance Code to allow a rental lot for motor vehicles at 7121 Wayzata Boulevard within
a B-2, Business District, having the following legal description:
Lots 464 and 465, "Richmond," except highway
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the advice and recommendation of the
Planning Commission (Case Nos. 79 -69 -SP and 87 -67 -SP) and the effect of the proposed
rental lot for motor vehicles on the health, safety, and welfare of the occupants of the
surrounding lands, existing and anticipated traffic conditions, the effect on values of
properties in the surrounding area and the effect of the use on the Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, a special permit was issued regarding the subject property pursuant to
Resolution No. 6406 of the St. Louis Park City Council dated October 15, 1979 which
contained conditions applicable to said property; and
WHEREAS, due to changed circumstances, amendments to those conditions are now
necessary, requiring the amendment of that special permit; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of this resolution to continue and restate the relevant
conditions of the permit granted by Resolution No. 6406 to add the amendments now
required, and to consolidate all applicable conditions in this resolution;
CONCLUSION
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution No. 6406 (Document not filed)
is hereby rescinded and replaced by this resolution which continues and amends a special
permit to the subject property for the purposes of permitting a rental lot for motor
vehicles within the B-2, Business District, at the location described above based on the
following conditions:
1. The property shall be developed, used and maintained in accordance with Exhibit
Al - Site Plan; Exhibit B1 - Floor Plan/Building Elevations, except as modified by by
the following: (Exhibits are on file in the City Development Office at the City of
St. Louis Park)
2. There shall be no access provided along the west side of the property to or from
Louisiana Avenue.

3. All trash and garbage shall be stored indoors.
4. Signage shall comply with the requirements of the Sign Ordinance.
5. All improvements shall be completed by November 15, 1987.
6. This special permit shall terminate upon acquisition of the property by the Minesota
Department of Transportation.
