LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE CODE RELATING TO ZONING TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A FOUR -STALL GARAGE FOR AN APARTMENT BUILDING FOR PROPERTY ZONED R-4, MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENCE LOCATED AT 8209 WEST 301 STREET BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park: Findings 1. Elliot I. Wolson and N. Herman have made application to the City Council for a special permit under Section 14-141(9) of the St. Louis Park Ordinance Code for the purpose of constructing a 4 -stall garage for an apartment building within a R-4, Multiple Family Residence District located at 8209 West 30i Street for the legal description as follows, to -wit: Lot 6, except the East 85.56 feet thereof, and the Easterly 74 feet of Lot 5, Block 2, "Texatonka Terrace 1st Addition" (Abstract) 2. The City Council has considered the advice and recommendation of the Planning Commission (Case No. 85 -68 -SP) and the effect of the proposed 4 -stall garage on the health, safety and welfare of the occupants of the surrounding lands, existing and anticipated traffic conditions, the effect on values of properties in the surrounding area, the effect of the use on the Comprehensive Plan, and compliance with the intent of the Zoning Ordinance. 3. The Council has determined that the 4 -stall garage will not be detrimental to the health, safety, or general welfare of the community nor will it cause serious traffic congestion nor hazards, nor will it seriously depreciate surrounding property values, and the proposed 4 -stall garage is in harmony with the general purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance and the Comprehensive Plan. Conclusion The special permit to permit the construction of a 4 -stall garage for an apartment building at the location described is granted based on the findings set forth above and subject to the following conditions: 1. That the garage meets the design criteria relative to compatibility with the principal structure as applied to apartment developments.
