RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF
3550 BRUNSWICK FOR HIGHWAY NO. 7 CORRIDOR
WHEREAS, the City Council of St. Louis Park has authorized and directed
the City Manager to negotiate with Roms Investment Company for the purchase
of fee title to the land here in after described for public use and
WHEREAS, pursuant to such negotiations, Roms Investment Company desires
to sell said property to the City by General Warranty Deed for the sum of
$250,000 now thereof,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of St. Louis Park that the City of
St. Louis Park purchased the following described property in Hennepin County,
Minnesota, to -wit from Roms Investment Company:
Tracts A, B, C and registered land survey No. 297, files of the
Registrar of Titles, Hennepin County, MN and the West 24 feet of
the North 1/2 of Lot 11. The West 29 feet of the South 1/2 of
Lot 11 and the West 22 feet of Lot 10 all in Block 32, St. Louis Park
Center
and the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute any and all
instruments necessary to complete the purchase of said properties, and the
City Manager is herby authorized and directed to accept delivery of the deeds
and pay the sum of $250,000 from the Special Assessment Construction Fund
(25-4467-900-70) to said Roms Investment Company upon delivery by the seller
of a General Warranty Deed to said property accompanied by an Abstract of
Title or Owner's Certificate of Title showing good and marketable title of
record to said property, together with an opinion of the Law Department of
the City of St. Louis Park approving the execution of the deed and the seller's
abstract or certificate.
