LOUIS PARK, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 85-86 _ RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON A PROPOSED HOUSING PROGRAM PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES, CHAPTER 462C, AND AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE THERFORE WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 462C, authorizes a city to plan, administer and make or purchase a loan or loans to finance one or more multifamily housing developments or the rehabilitation of multifamily housing developments after adoption of a housing program; and WHEREAS, the program for the issuance of bonds to finance a multifamily housing development must be considered at a public hearing after notice published at least fifteen (15) days prior to the date of said hearing after which the program may be adopted by resolution of the governing body of the City with or without amendment; and WHEREAS, there has been presented to this City Council (the "City Council") proposals for the acquisition of land and construction of: 1. A 60 -unit apartment project at Cedar Lake Road and Sunset Ridge 2. A 200 -unit apartment project for the elderly at 8900 West 36th Street AND WHEREAS, the information on page 50 of the Housing Plan and Program, 1979-1985 needs to be revised relative to the tentative name of the developer/owner, estimated development cost and/or estimated number of dwelling units for projects previously approved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ST. 10 LOUIS PARK, MINNESOTA, THAT: 1. The City Council of the City of St. Louis Park (the "City") will conduct a public hearing on the proposed housing program on July 15, 1985 at 7:30 p.m. 2. The City Manager of the City is hereby authorized to cause a public notice substantially in the form of the notice attached hereto as Exhibit A, to be published once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City at least fifteen (15) days prior to the date established for the public hearing by the preceding paragraph of this resolution. (it City vorney EXHIBIT A NOTICE OF HEARING ON A HOUSING PROGRAM UNDER MINNESOTA STATUTES, CHAPTER 462C, AS AMENDED, TO FINANCE A MULTIFAMILY HOUSING DEVELOPMENT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota (the "City") will meet on July 15, 1985, at 7:30 p.m. at the City Offices in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, for the purpose of conducting a public hearing on a proposed amendment to the City Housing Plan and Program, 1979-1985. The amendments being considered include, but are not necessarily limited to, the additions and modifications described below: Tentative company/ Developer Darrel A. Farr Dev. Co. The Minneapolis Federation for Jewish Service No. of Estimated Location Units Value Cedar Lake Road at 60 $ 3,700,000 Sunset Ridge 8900 West 36th Street 200 $11,000,000 Revision to the 16 projects listed on page 50 of the program to update and possibly delete the information related to the tentative name of the developer/owner, estimated development costs and/or the estimated number of dwelling units for projects located at the following locations: Cedar Lake Road - Zarthan Park Center Boulevard Oak Park Village Hampshire South of Highway 12 Hampshire South of Highway 12 Belt Line Boulevard - France Highway 7 at Highway 100 Shelard Park Virginia - 28th Street Ottawa South of Minnetonka Blvd. Pennsylvania and Highway 7 Belt Line Blvd. approximately. 1800 feet west of France Avenue Shelard Park - Hwy.12 and Shelard West 39th St. - west of Quentin 2480 South Highway 100 4800, 4810 and 4820 Highway 7 The proposed Projects could consist of the acquisition of land, the construction of a building or buildings thereon and the installation of equipment in connection therewith.
