A RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 84-173 ADOPTED ON
OCTOBER 15, 1984 AND GRANTING PERMIT UNDER SECTION 14-156(17)
AND SECTION 14-195(1) OF THE ST. LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE CODE
RELATING TO ZONING TO ALLOW A CLASS I RESTAURANT ON
PROPERTY ZONED B-2, BUSINESS AT 6475 WAYZATA BOULEVARD
FINDINGS
WHEREAS, Steak and Ale Restaurants, Inc. has made application to the City Council
for a special permit under Section 14-156(17) and Section 14-195(1) of the St. Louis Park
Ordinance Code to allow a Class I restaurant at 6475 Wayzata Boulevard within a B-2,
Business District having the following legal description:
Lot 3, Block 1, Lou Park Addition (Abstract)
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the advice and recommendation of the
Planning Commission (Case No. 85 -62 -SP and 84 -85 -SP) and the effect of the proposed
Class I restaurant on the health, safety, and welfare of the occupants of the surrounding
lands, existing and anticipated traffic conditions, the effect on values of properties in
the surrounding area and the effect of the use on the Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, a special permit was issued regarding the subject property pursuant to
Resolution No. 84-173 of the St. Louis Park City Council dated October 15, 1984 which
contained conditions applicable to said property; and
WHEREAS, due to changed circumstances, amendments to those conditions are now

necessary, requiring the amendment of that special permit; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of this resolution to continue and restate the conditions
of the permit granted by Resolution No. 84-173 to add the amendments now required, and
to consolidate all conditions applicable to the subject property in this resolution;
CONCLUSION
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution No. 84-173 is hereby rescinded
and replaced by this resolution which continues and amends a special permit to the subject
property for the purposes of permitting Class I restaurant within the B-2, Business District
at the location described above based on the following conditions:
1. The site shall be developed, used and maintained in accordance with Exhibit A, Site
Plan as modified and dated August 31, 1984; Exhibit B, Grading Plan; Exhibit C,
Landscape Plan; Exhibit D, Plaza Detail; Exhibit E, First Floor Plan dated August
31, 1984; Exhibit F, Second Floor Plan; Exhibit G, Elevation Plan A dated August
31, 1984; and Elevation Plan B dated August 31, 1984. (Exhibits are on file in the
City Development Department at the City of St. Louis Park.)
2. The building shall be equipped with automatic fire extinguishing systems (sprinklers).
3. All of the improvements including buildings, curbing, paving, landscaping and parking
lot striping shall be completed by June 1, 1985.
4. That the free standing sign be permitted to have an additional sign as shown on
Exhibit H and containing no more than 8.5 square feet per face for a total sign area
of 17 square feet.
