RESOLUTION NO. 84-53 RESOLUTION DESIGNATING OTTAWA AVENUE SOUTH AS MUNICIPAL STATE AID STREET WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota that the street hereinafter described should be designated a Municipal State Aid Street under the provisions of Minnesota Laws of 1959, chapter 500; and WHEREAS, the City of St. Louis Park is 1.37 miles under the maximum allowed for under Minnesota State Aid Street needs guidelines, and WHEREAS, the City of St. Louis Park does not have any other north/south Street crossing the Chicago -Northwestern -Milwaukee railroad tracks east of Trunk Highway 100; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park has authorized the Brunswick Avenue crossing over the tracks of said railroad be closed, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of City of St. Louis Park in the County of Hennepin that the Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Transportation is hereby requested to designate Ottawa Avenue South, centerline being described as follows; to wit: Commencing at the centerline of Trunk Highway No. 7 and the centerline of Ottawa Avenue South thence south to a point approximately 545 feet, thence a hori- zontal curve to the left approximately 535 feet radius with a deflection angle of 390-00 to its intersection with the centerline of Beltline Boulevard. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to forward two certified copies of this resolution to the Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Transportation for his consideration and that upon his approval of the designation of said road or portion thereof, that same be constructed, improved, and maintained as a Municipal State Aid Street by the City of St. Louis Park and to be numbered and known as part of Municipal State Aid Street 291.
