RESOLUTION NO. 84-20
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF PROPERTY FOR
THE DETACHMENT OF THE NORTH FRONTAGE ROAD
OF STATE HIGHWAY #7 AT OTTAWA AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City Council of St. Louis Park has authorized and directed
the City Manager to negotiate with Park Towers, Inc. for the purchase of the
fee title and construction easement for the construction of the project.
WHEREAS, Park Towers, Inc., pursuant to such negotiations, has indicated
their desire to sell said property to the City by Warranty Deed and Construc-
tion Easement for the sum of $95,500.00, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of St. Louis Park that the City of
St. Louis Park purchase from Park Towers, Inc. the following described property
in Hennepin County, Minnesota, to -wit:
Fee
That part of:
Par 1: Lots 5 to 9 inclusive, and that part of Lots 10 and 11 lying
North of the Northerly right of way line of state trunk Highway No. 7,
together with that part of the adjoining vacated alley lying between
extensions across it of the Northerly line of said highway and the
North line of lot 1, all in block 2, "Calhoun Addition to Minneapolis",
according to the plat thereof on file or of record in the office of
the Register of Deeds in and for said County.
Par 2: That part of the East 250 feet of the West 5/8 of the Northeast
Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 6, Township 28, Range 24,
lying South of the South line of West 31st Street extended Westerly,
according to the United States Government Survey thereof.
Lying Easterly and Southeasterly of the following described line:
Commencing on the Northerly right of way line of State Highway No. 7
distant 153.00 feet Westerly of the East line of said Block 2, thence
Northeasterly along a curve to the left having a radius of 256.33 feet
central angle 14 degrees 45 minutes 09 seconds (with the cord of said
curve having a deflection to the right of 148 degrees 36 minutes 47
seconds), thence Northeasterly tangent to said curve a distance of 58
feet thence a distance of 32.00 feet along a tangential curve to the
right having a radius of 55.67 feet central angle 32 degrees 56 min-
utes 04 seconds to a point on a reverse curve thence a distance of
72.50 feet along said reverse curve having a radius of 64.33 feet and
central angle 64 degrees 34 minutes 21 seconds thence Northerly tan-
gent to said reverse curve a distance of 76.00 feet more or less to a
point on the East line of said Block 2, 205 feet North of the Northerly
right of way line of State Highway No. 7 and there terminating,
A temporary slope and construction easement being 10 feet in width
lying Northerly and Westerly of the above described line. Said ease-
ment shall expire July 31, 1985.
