HomeMy WebLinkAbout84-19 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1984/02/06February 6, 1984 RESOLUTION NO. 84-19 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF PROPERTY FOR THE DETACHMENT OF THE NORTH FRONTAGE ROAD OF STATE HIGHWAY #7 AT OTTAWA AVENUE WHEREAS, the City Council of St. Louis Park has authorized and directed the City Manager to negotiate with B'nai Abraham-Mikro-Tifereth Synagogue the purchase of the fee title and construction easement for the construction of the project. WHEREAS, B'nai Abraham-Mikro-Tifereth Synagogue, pursuant to such negotiations, has indicated their desire to sell said property to the City by Warranty Deed and Construction Easement for the sum of $12,300.00, now therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of St. Louis Park that the City of St. Louis Park purchase from B'nai Abraham-Mikro-Tifereth Synagogue the following described property in Hennepin County, Minnesota, to -wit: Fee Parcel I (Abstract) All of that part of Lot 20 and adjacent vacated alley lying Northerly of State Highway No. 7 except the West 15 feet of said Lot 20. That part of Lot 21 lying Southerly of a line drawn from a point in a line 15 feet East of and parallel to the West line of Block 2, and 5 feet North of the South line of said Lot 212 thence Southeasterly a distance of 15.81 feet to the South line of said Lot 21 and there terminating, Block 2, Mazey and Langan's Addition to St. Louis Park. Parcel II (Torrens) That part of Lot 8 lying Northerly of State Highway No. 7 and South of a line drawn parallel to and distant 5 feet North of the South line of said Lot 8, Block 2, Mazey and Langan's Addition to St. Louis Park. A temporary construction easement in and over A strip of land drawn parallel to and distant 5 feet North of the above described Parcel I and Parcel II which shall expire July 31, 1985, and the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute any and all instruments necessary to complete the purchase of said property and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to accept delivery of the deed and to pay the sum of $12,300.00 from the Municipal State Aid Fund to said B'nai Abraham-Mikro-Tifereth Synagogue as the purchase price of said property upon the delivery to them of a Warranty Deed to 'said property accompanied by an Abstract of Title or Owner's Certificate of Title showing good and marketable title of record to said property, together with an opinion of the Law Department of the City of St. Louis Park approving the execution of the deed and the seller's abstract or certificate of title.
