LOUIS PARK TO ENTER INTO A SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT TO AGREEMENT NO. 1501 WITH BENNETT, RINGROSE, WOLSFELD, JARVIS, GARDNER, INC. (BRW) FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR TRUNK HIGHWAY 100/WEST 36TH STREET INTERCHANGE - CITY PROJECT NO. 78-10 WHEREAS, the City, in cooperation with the State of Minnesota Department of Transportation, is planning to construct an interchange at West 36th Street and Trunk Highway 100 in St. Louis Park; and WHEREAS, the City entered into Agreement Nos. 59808 and 60596 with the Minnesota Department of Transportation for the purpose of performing project development studies, preparing preliminary plans, and final design roadway and bridge construction plans; and WHEREAS, the City subsequently entered into City Agreement No. 1501 with BRW to perform the required work; and WHEREAS, due to funding uncertainties, the Metropolitan Council requested the City to consider the redesign of portions of the plans to reduce the project cost; and WHEREAS, the requested redesign, while successfully reducing construction costs, has resulted in additional design and associated costs for BRW; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: 1. The City is authorized to enter into a supplemental agreement with Bennett, Ringrose, Wolsfeld, Jarvis, Gardner, Inc. for the purpose of assisting the City in discussions with the Metropolitan Council and for the purpose of redesigning portions of the final detail construction plans for the West 36th Street/Trunk Highway 100 interchange. 2. The City shall reimburse BRW for the costs of the supplemental agreement according to procedures included in the original Agreement No. 1501.
