WITH A GROUND FLOOR AREA RATIO OF .33 INSTEAD OF .30, THE MAXIMUM ALLOWED, FOR A SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING IN THE It -2, SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT, AT 1657 BRUNSWICK AVENUE SOUTH BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK: Findin s 1. On July 11, 1983, Burke W. Marske filed an application seeking a variance to permit construction of an addition of a two car garage for property located in the R-2, Single Family Residence District, at 1657 Brunswick Avenue South. Lot 32, Block 3, Thorpe Brothers University Club Addition (Abstract) 2. On July 28, 1983, the Board of Zoning Appeals met and recommended approval of the variance on a 4-0-1 vote. 3. On August 15, 1983, the City Council held a public hearing, received testimony from, the public, and discussed the application. 4. Based upon all of the testimony, evidence presented, and files and records herein, the City Council makes the following findings: a. The applicant has a legal alternative available to build a garage containing 602 square feet and measuring 28 feet by 21.5 feet without a variance. b. Therefore, the application for the requested variance is denied based upon the findings set forth above and on the grounds that conditions required for approval do not exist.
