HomeMy WebLinkAbout7426 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1983/07/05r RESOLUTION NO. 677i RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING RELATING TO A PROJECT UNDER THE MUNICIPAL INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT ACT (G & N LIMITED PARTNERSHIP PROJECT) WHEREAS, this City Council, by Resolution No. 7181, adopted on July 19, 1982, gave preliminary approval to the issuance of its revenue bonds under the Municipal Industrial Development Act, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 474, as amended, to undertake and finance a project on behalf of G & N Limited Partnership, a Minnesota limited partnership (the "Company"). Said project consists of the acquisition of land and an existing building, located at 6600 Excelsior Boulevard, in the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, the renovation and construction of said building and the acqui- sition and installation of equipment therein and thereon, for use as a commercial medical and dental office facility (the "Project"), to be owned by the Company and leased to various tenants; and WHEREAS, recent changes in the Federal tax laws require that this City Council publish notice and hold an additional public hearing, giving interested individuals an opportunity to express their views on the proposed issue of bonds and the Project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council; of the City of.St. Louis Park, as follows: 1. This Council shall conduct a public hearing on the proposal to undertake and finance the Project, to be held on Monday, August 1, 1-9832-, at approximately 7:30 p.m. at the City Hall. 2. The City Clerk shall cause notice of the public hearing to be published in the official newspaper of the City, at least once not less than fifteen (15) nor more than thirty (30) days prior to the date fixed for the public hearing: said notice to be published shall be in substan- tially the form attached hereto as Exhibit A. PIERCE—Incumbent Nominated Without Party Designation i NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT REVENUE BONDS (G & N LIMITED PARTNERSHIP PROJECT) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, at the City Hall, 5005 Minnetonka Boulevard, St. Louis Park, Minnesota, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Monday, August 1, 1983, for the purpose of considering a proposal that the City undertake and finance a commercial development project in the City. A meeting of the City Council of the City will follow the hearing, at which a resolution giving approval to the issuance of its revenue bonds to finance the project will be considered. The project, to be owned by G & N Limited Partnership, a Minnesota limited partnership, consists of the acquisition of land and an existing building, located at 6600 Excelsior Boulevard in the City, the renovation and construction of said building and the acquisition and installation of equipment therein and thereon, for use as a commercial medi- cal and dental office facility, to be leased to various tenants. The estimated maximum principal amount of the obligations proposed to be issued by the City is $2,500,000. The obligations and the interest thereon shall be limited obligations of the City, except that such obliga- tions may be secured by a mortgage or other encumbrance on the project. No holder of any such obligation shall ever have the right to compel any exercise of the taxing power of the City to pay the obligation, or the interest thereon, nor to enforce payment against any property of the City except the project. All persons interested may appear and be heard at the time and place set forth above, or may submit their views in writing to the undersigned at the address set forth above, : prior to the date of said hearing, on the proposed issue of bonds and the location and nature of the project.
