A RESOLUTION GRANTINIG PERMIT UNDER SECTION 14.141(4) OF THE
ST. LKOUIS PARK ORDINANCE CODE RELATING TO ZONING TO
PERMIT A PRIVATE CLUB/LODGE WITH ACCESSORY OFFICE SPACE
FOR PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE R-4 MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENCE
DISTRICT, LOCATED AT 4015-4019 YOSEMITE AVENUE SOUTH
BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park:
Findings
1. Frank Lundberg American Legion Post #282 has made application to the City
Council for a special permit under Section 14-141(4) of the St. Louis Park Ordinance
Code for the purpose of permitting a private club/lodge with accessory office space
located at 4015-4019 Yosemite Avenue South for the legal description as follows, to -wit:
Lots 32 and 33, Block 3, Suburban Homes Co.'s Addition
. 2. The City Council has considered the advice and recommendation of the
Planning Commission (Case No. 82 -69 -SP) and the effect of the proposed a private
club/lodge with accessory office space on the health, safety and welfare of the occupants
of the surrounding lands, existing and anticipated traffic conditions, the effect on values
of properties in the surrounding area, the effect of the use on the Comprehensive Plan,
and compliance with the intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
3. The Council has determined that the proposed a private club/lodge with
accessory office space will not be detrimental to the health, safety, or general welfare
of the community nor will it cause serious traffic congestion nor hazards, nor will it
seriously depreciate surrounding property values, and the proposed meeting place is in
harmony with the general purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance and the
Comprehensive Plan.
Conclusion
The special permit to permit a private club/lodge with accessory office space at the
location described is granted based on the findings set forth above and subject to the
following conditions:
1. That the site be developed, used and maintained in accordance with
Exhibit A, Site Plan; Exhibit B, Drainage Plan; Exhibit C, Landscaping
Plan; and Exhibit D, Floor Plan except as modified by the following
conditions.

2. That the gross building area contain no more than 1,800 square feet
and that the net usable area be no more than 1,577 square feet.
3. That there be no sale of food or alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages
from or on the site.
4. That there be no gambling, including Bingo and similar allowed
gambling, on the site.
5. That all curbing, including the driveway except at the sidewalk, consist
of poured -in-place concrete curbing measuring at least six inches above
grade.
6. That there be no outdoor lighting permitted within twenty feet of
the south or easterly lot lines, and any outdoor lighting constructed
elsewhere must be directed perpendicular to the ground so that no
direct rays are visible from beyond the property and said lighting
Shall not be higher than twenty feet.
7. That the special permit shall be effective November 24, 1982.
8. That all improvements including blacktoppping, striping, sodding,
fencing, construction of the catch basin, landscaping, retaining wall,
and other elements as shown on the exhibits be completed by May
15, 1983.
