LOUIS PARK RECREATION CENTER 5005 WEST 36TH STREET WHEREAS, the City of St. Louis Park has caused a traffic analysis to be made on . certain public or private property within the City with respect to fire lane designation, and WHEREAS, the results as analyzed by the Engineering Department and the Fire Department of the City indicate that the following limitations on parking are required on the hereinafter described areas in order that the travel of fire equipment may not be interfered with and the access to fire hydrants to buildings may not be blocked off, and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1084, adopted November 17, 1969, by the City Council r provides for the installation of traffic control signs when and as required by resolution of the City Council, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park as follows 1. The following areas at the St. Louis Park Recreation Center located at 5005 West 36th Street are hereby designated as fire lanes: a. The south end of the west parking lot and the south end of the east parking lot. b. The west side of the east driveway from West 36th Street to the parking lot. c. The area adjacent to the sidewalk entrance to the east side of the Recreation Center building along the west side of the east parking lot. d. The east and west sides of the exit road from the east parking lot to its intersection with the ingress and egress road from West 36th Street to the east parking lot. e. The south side of the frontage road from the east parking lot entrance to the west parking lot entrance except the portion that is presently designated head -in parking near the east end. f. The east side of the west access road from West 36th Street to the west parking lot. g. The east and west sides of the exit road from the west parking lot to its intersection with the ingress and egress road from West 36th Street to the west parking lot. 2. The City Engineer and the owner of the property involved are hereby authorized and directed to install fire lane signs of approved type setting limits on parking as required by ordinance.
