HomeMy WebLinkAbout7119 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1982/04/19r April 19, 1982 RESOLUTION NO. 71.19 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF PROPERTY FOR STREET RIGHT OF WAY - 2906 LOUISIANA AVENUE SOUTH WHEREAS, the City Council of St. Louis Park has authorized and directed the City Manager to negotiate with Edward Thomas Ossanna and Diane J. Ossanna, husband and wife, for the purchase of the fee title to the land hereinafter described, for public uses, and WHEREAS, Edward Thomas Ossanna and Diane J. Ossanna, husband and wife, pursuant to such negotiations, have indicated their desire to sell said property to the City by Warranty Deed for the sum of $992.25 now therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of St. Louis Park that the City of St. Louis Park purchase from Edward Thomas Ossanna and Diane J. Ossanna, husband and wife, the following described property in Hennepin County, Minnesota, to -wit: That part of Lot 2 and of Lot 1 except the North 50 feet, Block 8, High Holborn, lying Easterly of a line drawn from a point in the South line of said Lot 2, 3.86 feet West of the Southeast corner to a point in the South line of said North 50 feet of Lot 1, 0.83 feet West of the East line. Together with a temporary construction easement in and over a strip 17 feet in width and parallel to and Westerly of the following described: That part of Lot 2 and of Lot 1 except the North 50 feet, Block 8, High Holborn, lying Easterly of a line drawn from a point in the South line of said Lot 2, 3.86 feet West of the Southeast corner to a point in the South line of said North 50 feet of Lot 1, 0.83 feet West of the East line. and the Mayor and City Manager are' hereby authorized to execute any and all instruments necessary to complete the purchase of said property and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to accept delivery of the deed and to pay the sum of $992.25 from the Special Assessment Construction Fund to said Edward Thomas Ossanna and Diane J. Ossanna, husband and wife, as the purchase price of said property upon the delivery to them of a Warranty Deed to said property accompanied by an Abstract of Title or Owner's Certificate of Title showing good and marketable title of record to said property, together with an opinion of the Law Department of the City of St. Louis Park approving the execution of the deed and the seller's abstract or certificate.
