A RESOLUTION AUTHORIIZING SUBMISSION OF THE MULTI -FAMILY
RENTAL HOUSING PROGRAM TO THE MINNESOTA HOUSING FINANCE AGENCY
BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of St. Louis Park:
WHEREAS, the City Council (the "Council") of the City of Saint Louis Park
(the "City") has, by Resolution No. 6386 dated October 2, 1979, adopted a Housing
Plan (the "Plan") for the City in accordance with the Municipal Housing Finance
Act, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 462C (the "Act"); and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City has considered an amendment to said
Plan (the "Plan Amendment") including a program for the issuance of revenue bonds
to finance multi -family rental housing developments (the "Program"); and
WHEREAS, the Council has conducted a public hearing on the Plan
Amendment and the Program on March 15, 1981 after publication of notice in a
newspaper circulating generally in the City at least 30 days before the hearing, and
continued such public hearing until April 19, 1982; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 462C.04, the Plan
Amendment has been submitted to the Metropolitan Council for review and
comment; and
WHEREAS, the Council has now received the comments of the Metropolitan
Council; and'
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Section 462C.05 requires submission of the
Program to the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City of
Saint Louis Park:
1. That the comments of the Metropolitan Council are hereby noted,
and the adoption of the Plan Amendment and Program are hereby confirmed.
2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to submit the Program,
including certifications with respect to individual projects named therein to the
Minnesota Hbusing Finance Agency.
3. That the public hearing originated on March 15, 1982, and continued
until April 19, 1982 is hereby closed.
