RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING B'NAI B'RITH-IRA WEIL JEFFERY LODGE
FOR ITS DONATION TO THE PURCHASE OF THE
EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS MOBILE UNIT
WHEREAS, civic involvement provides a foundation for effective local
government and contributes to the community's betterment and well-being;
WHEREAS, the benefits of civic involvement have been most recently dis-
played by the City's acquisition of the new emergency communications
mobile unit;
WHEREAS, the fund-raising efforts of many civic -minded organizations
enabled the City to purchase and equip the emergency communications mobile
unit using a minimum of taxpayer dollars; and
WHEREAS, as a result of these efforts, all St. Louis Park residents will
benefit from the superior communications capability and accelerated
response of public safety agencies that will be provided by the mobile
unit at the scene of emergencies and natural disasters;
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park
that the Jewish Community Center is hereby recognized and sincerely thanked for
its donation without which the emergency communications mobile unit
could not have been purchased.
