HomeMy WebLinkAbout6996 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1982/05/15r i RESOLUTION NO. 6996 A RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMIT UNDER SECTION 14-146(1) OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A PARKING LOT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE R -B; RESIDENTIAL BUSINESS DISTRICT, AT 6021-6027 WEST 37th STREET BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park: Findings• 1. York Development Inc. has made application to the City Council for a special permit under Section 14-146(1) of the St. Louis Park Ordinance Code -for the purpose of constructing -a parking lot located at 6021 -6027 -West 37th'Street- for the legal description as follows, to -wit: Lots 6-10, Block 48, St. Louis Park Centre 2. The City Council has considered the advice and recommendation of the Planning Commission (Case No. 81 -96 -SP) and the -effect of the proposed"parking-lot on the health, safety and welfare of the occupants of the surrounding lands, existing - and anticipated traffic conditions, the effect on values of properties -in the surrounding. area, the effect of the use on the Comprehensive Plan, and compliance with the --intent of the Zoning Ordinance. 3. The Council has determined that the proposed parking Tot will not -be detrimental to the health, safety or general welfare of the community nor will it cause serious traffic congestion nor hazards nor will it seriously depreciate surrounding property values, and the proposed parking lot is in harmony with the_ general purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance and the Comprehensive -Plan. Conclusion The special permit to permit the proposed parking lot at the-location'described is granted based on the findings set forth above and subject to the following - conditions: 1. The site shall be improved and maintained in accordance with Exhibit A, Site Plan. 2. No semi -trailers, tractors or trucks over 11,000 pounds GVW shall be parked in the lot. Nor shall there be any storage of goods, equipment or material on the site. 3. Parking lot lighting shall be completed so that light shall be directed perpendicular toward the ground and,shall not be directly visible from adjacent residentially zoned pro- perty. Light standards shall not be more than 25 feet high including base or pedestal. 4. All work shall be completed by May 15, 1682.
