HomeMy WebLinkAbout6952D - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1981/09/08September 8, 1981 RESOLUTION NO. 6952 D RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF PROPERTY FOR STREET RIGHT OF WAY WHEREAS, the City Council of St. Louis Park has authorized and directed the City Manager to negotiate with Marvin Kaufman and Esther W. Kaufman, for the purchase of an easement to the land here- inafter described, for public uses, and WHEREAS, Marvin Kaufman and Esther W. Kaufman, pursuant to such negotiations, have indicated their desire to sell said property to the City by Warranty Deed for the sum of $1,750.00, now therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of St. Louis Park that the City of St. Louis Park purchase from Marvin Kaufman and Esther W. Kaufman, the following described property in Hennepin County, Minnesota, to -wit: An easement for street and utility purposes over the West twelve (12) feet of Lot 24, Block 5, "Cedarcrest Second", according to the recorded plat thereof. A slope and construction easement over the existing slope ease- ment: Being the East thirty-eight (38) feet of the West fifty (50) feet of Lot 24, Block 5, "Cedarcrest Second", according to the recorded plat thereof. (Expires January 1, 1984) and the -Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute any and all instruments necessary to complete the purchase of said property and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to accept delivery of the deed and to pay the sum of $1,750.00 from the General Fund to said Marvin Kaufman and Esther W. Kaufman, as the purchase price of said property upon the delivery to them of a Warranty Deed to said property accompanied by an Abstract of Title or Owner's Certificate of Title showing good and marketable title of record to said property, together with an opinion of the Law Department of the City of St. Louis Park approving the execution of the deed and the seller's abstract or certificate.
