HomeMy WebLinkAbout6646 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1980/09/15RESOLUTION NO. 6646 RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT _IMPROVEMENT NO. -79-10 BE IT RESOLVED by the City_ Council 'of_the City of St. Louis Park as follows: 1. Notice of hearing on this improvement was 1980, -and -published in the official city newspaper, August 27, 1980, as required by Minnesota:Statutes, by Council. duly mailed on September 2, the St. Louis -Park Sun, on Chapter 429, and as ordered _2. A public hearing having been held on this date and opportunity' -having been given --at the hearing to_all persons to make known their objections to the proposed assessment, and the Council -being-fully _advised of the pertinent - facts, the proposed assessment as it deems just is adopted and shall constitute -the_special assessment levied:against the respective lands therein_described, and each tract of land is found:to:be-specifically benefited by -the improvements in -the amount of assessment levied against it. 3. The.assessment shall_be-payable, unless prepaid, in equal annual installments extending over the period of years designated in paragraph 4. The -first installment shall be payable concurrently with_ general. taxes levied in the year 1980, and_payable in -the year 1981,,and shall bear interest at the rate of 7 per cent per_annum from the date of the adoption of -this assessment resolution. To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from the -date of this assessment until December 31st.of-_the year in which the first installment becomes due -and -payable. -To-subsequent-installments when due shall be added interest for one year'on-the-total of all _unpaid installments. -No interest will be charged if -the -entire assessment_as to -any parcel is paid at the office•of the treasurer within 30_days from the date of -adoption 'of the assessment resolution. 4. The number of years •over which •installments -are to -be-extended is as follows: Imp. No. 79-10 Type -of Improvement Paving, Curb & Gutter and Driveway, Aprons Location On Cedar_Lake Road -from Quentin Ave. to the Burlington Northern -Railroad -tracks. which shall be extended over _a period of -20 years. 5. The clerk shall transmit a certified copy of this assessment to the county auditor to be extended on the proper tax lists of the county, and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes.
