LOUIS PARK POLICE RELIEF ASSOCIATION BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that Resolution No. 6602 is amended to read as follows: THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that to the existing retirement benefits provided by Minnesota Statutes, Sections 423.801, 423.809 and 423.810, shall be added the following retirement benefits for members of the St. Louis Park Police Relief,Association: -1. 'To 'the surviving spouse, an additional two units per month. 2. As an additional benefit not provided in Minnesota Statutes, Section 423.809, any member who completes 10 years of service shall be 100% vested in the plan and shall be entitled to start drawing, upon written application, after retiring from duty, a benefit payable at age 50 of 1/20 times his/her years of service times the benefit at 20 years. 3. An additional two units shall be added to the maximum number of units available to a member who retires before attaining the age of 50 years. 4. A "unit" as defined in Minnesota Statutes, Section 423.801, subd. 3, shall mean 1/75 of the monthly salary of a first grade patrol officer for the second month of the previous fiscal year as determined in the Articles of Incorporation of the Association. 5. The required service period for a 'Deferred Pensioner' is decreased to 10 years of service. 6. This Resolution is in clarification of Resolution No. 6602, and does not change its substantive content and shall be effective as of July 21, 1980, the original effective date of Resolution No. 6602.
