HomeMy WebLinkAbout6507 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1980/02/25i February 25, 1980 RESOLUTION NO. 6507 , RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF PROPERTY FOR A SIDEWALK EASEMENT WHEREAS, the City Council of St. Louis Park has authorized and directed the City Manager to negotiate with Triangle Facilities,Inc. for the purchase of an easement for sidewalk for the land hereinafter described, for public uses, and WHEREAS, Triangle Facilities, Inc., pursuant to such negotiations, has indicated their desire to sell said property to the City by an easement for sidewalk purposes for the sum of $1,400.00, now therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of St. Louis Park that the City of St. Louis Park purchase from Triangle Facilities, Inc. the following described property in Hennepin County, Minnesota, to -wit: The Southerly 10 feet of the following: That part of Lot A, Block 3, "Brooklawns", lying Easterly of a line drawn parallel with the East line of said lot through a point on the Southeasterly front line thereof distant 106.6 feet measured along said line from the Southeasterly corner of said lot; and lying Southerly of a line drawn at right angles to the East line of said lot through a paint in said East line distant 93 feet Northerly measured along said 1?ist line from the said South- east corner of said lot, excepting, however, from said tract, that part thereof lying North of a line drawn from the Northeast corner of said tract to a point in the West line of said tract, distant 60 feet South of the North line of said Lot A, according to the plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the Registrar of Titles within and for said County. Subject to certain covenants, restrictions, conditions, rights &c as contained in deed Doc No 168143, Files of Registrar of Titles, which run until December 31st, 1966. Also That part of Lot A, Block 3, "Brooklawns", described as follows; Beginning at a point on the Southeasterly front line thereof distant 106.6 feet, measured along said line, from the Southeasterly corner of said Lot; thence North parallel with the East line of said Lot to a point where said line would intersect a line erected at right angles from said East line at a point in said East line distant 93 feet North from the Southeast corner of said Lot A; thence in a straight line to the most Southerly East corner of Lot 25 said Block 3; thence Westerly along the Southerly line of said Lot 25 to its intersection with the most Westerly line of said Lot A; thence Southerly along said most Westerly line of said Lot A to the Southeast front line of said Lot A; thence Northeasterly along said Southeast front line to the point of beginning, according to the plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the Registrar of Titles within and for said County. and the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute any and all instruments necessary to complete the purchase of said property and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to accept delivery of the deed and to pay the sum of $1,400.00 from the Special Assessment Fund - Construction Account to said Triangle Facilities, inc. as the purchase price of said property upon the delivery to them of a deed for sidewalk easement.
