A RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMIT UNDER SECTION 14-123.100
OF THE ST. LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE CODE RELATING TO ZONING
TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A THREE -CAR GARAGE FOR
PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE R-2, SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT,
AND F-2, FLOOD PLAIN DISTRICT, AT 4348 BROOKSIDE AVENUE
BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of St. Louis Park:
Findings
1. Alden S. Syverson has made application to the City Council for a
special permit under Section 14-123.100 of the St. Louis Park Ordinance Code
for the purpose of constructing' property located at 4348 Brookside Avenue
for the legal description as follows, to -wit:
Lot 2, Block 6; Brookside Addition
2. The City Council has considered the advice and recommendation of
the Planning Commission (Case No. 79 -80 -SP) and the effect of the proposed
garage on the health, safety, and welfare of the occupants of the surrounding
land , existing and anticipated traffic conditions, the effect on values of
properties in the surrounding area, the effect of the use on the Comprehensive
Plan, and compliance with the intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
3. The Council has determined that the proposed garage will not be
detrimental to the health, safety or general welfare of the community nor
will it cause serious traffic congestion nor hazards, nor will it seriously
depreciate surrounding property values, and the proposed garage is in harmony
with the general purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance and the
Comprehensive Plan.
Conclusion
The special permit to permit construction of a three -car garage at the
location described is granted based on the findings set forth above and
subject to the following conditions:
1. That the garage be located at an elevation of 892 MSL
or higher and be located, designed and used in accordance
with the Zoning Ordinance regulations with the exception
of the front yard setback if approved by the Board of
Zoning Appeals. Said garage shall be used only for the
storage of vehicles and equipment used in connection with
the residential use of the property. Said garage shall
not be used for business purposes or the storage of goods
used in the business.
2. All construction be completed by October 15, 1980.
