A RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMIT UNDER SECTION 14-124
Or THE ST. LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE CODE RELATING TO
ZONING TO PERMIT ADDITIONAL PARKING FOR PROPERTY
LOCATED IN THE DDD, DIVERSIFIED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT,
AT 5525 CEDAR LAKE ROAD.
BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of St. Louis Park:
Findings
1. Normandale Tennis Clubs, Inc. has made application to the City
Council for a special permit under Section 14-124 of the St. Louis Park
Ordinance Code for the purpose of providing additional parking on property
located at 5525 Cedar Lake Road, with the legal description as follows,
to -wit:
That part of the E. 460 feet of Government Lot 1 lying
northerly of the Railroad right-of-way and southerly
of the center line of old County Road No. 16. Also
that part of the W. 40 feet of Section 31, Township
29, range 24 lying northerly of railroad right-of-way
and southerly of new County Road 16, except the roadway.
2. The City Council has considered the advice and recommendation of
the Planning Commission (Case No. 79-61 SP) and the effect of the proposed
parking on the health, safety, and welfare of the occupants of the surround-
ing lands, existing and anticipated traffic conditions, the effect on values
of properties in the surrounding area, the effect of the use on the Comprehensive
Plan, and compliance with the intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
3. The Council has determined that the proposed parking will not be
detrimental to the health, safety or general welfare of the community nor
will it cause serious traffic congestion nor hazards, nor will it seriously
depreciate surrounding property values, and the proposed parking is in harmony
with the general purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
Conclusion
The special permit to permit additional barking at the location described
is granted based on the findings set forth above and subject to the following
conditions:
1. The site shall be developed in accordance with Exhibit A,
proposed revised parking layout; Exhibit 8, proposed revised
parking area; and Exhibit C, Landscape Plan.
2. That the Hennepin County Board'of Commissioners''
agree to the transaction.
3. That all construction activity be completed by'
October 16, 1980.
