RESOLUTION ACCEPTING GIFT OF LAND FOR STREET PURPOSES
WHEREAS, Space Center, Inc., a Minnesota Corporation, has offered to
donate to the City of St. Louis Park certain property which has a market
value of $8,000; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has advised the City Council that Space
Center, Inc., a Minnesota Corporation, does in fact have good title to the
subject property, which is legally described as:
An easement for street purposes over that part of Government Lot Eight (8)
in Section Four (4), Township One Hundred Seventeen (117), Range Twenty-one (21)
described as follows:
Commencing at a point in the north line of said Lot 8, 33 feet east of the north-
west corner; thence east along the north line a distance of 80 feet; thence south-
west to a point in a line drawn 33 feet east and parallel to the west line of said
Lot 8, 80 feet south of the point of beginning; thence north along said parallel
line a distance of 80 feet to the point of beginning and there terminating.
This property is given for street use.
WHEREAS, a deed has been presented to the City of St. Louis Park conveying
the subject property to the City; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the gift of the said above described lots is hereby
accepted, and the City Clerk is authorized and directed to file the deed in
the office of the Hennepin County Registrar of Titles.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City hereby expresses its gratitude and
appreciation to the donor for his generosity.
