RESOLUTION NO. 6292
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
ST. LOUIS PARK AND HENNEPIN COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF TRANS-
PORTATION FOR THE REVOCATION OF CSAH 16 (CEDAR LAKE
ROAD) FROM HIGHWAY 100 TO FRANCE AVENUE AND CSAH 17
(FRANCE AVENUE) FROM HIGHWAY 169 TO THE NORTH CITY LIMITS
BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of St. Louis Park concurs with the revocation
of County State Aid Highway 16 within the limits of the City of St. Louis Park
herein described; from a point approximately 40 feet south and 1870 feet east of the
northwest corner of Section 31, Township 29 North, Range 24 West, which is the
approximate intersection of Quentin Avenue, easterly to France Avenue; thence
northeasterly along France Avenue to apoint approximately 428 feet south of the
northwest corner of Section 32, Township 29 North, Range 24 West, which is the approximate
intersection of Ewing and France Avenue and the east limits of the City of St. Louis
Park, and there terminating, as described within Commissioner of Highways Order
No. 27368, dated April 15, 1958, and that this roadway be returned to the City of
St. Louis Park to be under the City's jurisdiction as a local street.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of St. Louis Park concurs with the
revocation of County State Aid Highway 17 within the limits of the City of St. Louis
Park and herein described; from the intersection of France Avenue and Excelsior Boulevard
(Trunk Highway 169-212) thence north along or near the line between the Cities' of
111, Minneapol,is-and St. Louis Park to West Lake Street (Trunk Highway 7) thence beginning
again at the intersection of State (Trunk) Highway 7 and France Avenue, northerly along
France Avenue to the intersection with CSAH 16 (Cedar Lake Road), thence beginning
again at the intersection of Ewing Avenue and the west line of Section 32, Township 29
North, Range 24 West, the east limits of St. Louis Park, thence north along the west line
of Section 32, Township 29 North,_Range 24 West, the east limits of St. Louis Park,
thence north along the west line of said Section 32 and Section 29 to a point approximately
1310 feet north of the souteast corner of Section 30, Township 29 North, Range 24
West, the east limits of the City of St. Louis Park, and there terminating, as described
within Commissioner of Highways Order No. 27368, dated April 15, 1958; and that this
roadway be returned to the City of St. Louis Park to be under the City's jurisdiction
as a local street.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Hennepin County will provide $43,746 lump sum payment
to the City for the reconstruction of the CASH 16 (Cedar Lake Road) revocation segment.
Further, Hennepin County will construct a bituminous overlay on the CSAH 17 (France
Avenue) revocation segment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Clerk be and they hereby are
'authorized to execute such agreement.
