HomeMy WebLinkAbout6235 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1979/03/13March 12, 1979 llc RESOLUTION NO. 6235 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FIRE EMPLOYEE SALARIES AND INSURANCE CONTRIBUTION AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LABOR AGREEMENT FOR 1979 WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 179.70, Subd. 3, of the Minnesota Public Employee Labor Relations Act the City is bound by the terms of an ar- bitration decision issued by Richard John Miller on February 5, 1979, relating to a labor agreement between the City of St. Louis Park and the International Association of Firefighters Local 933; and WHEREAS, Section 3-301 of the St. Louis Park Ordinance Code provides that as often as necessary the City's Position Classification and Salary Plan shall be revised by the City Council; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the salary structure for Firefighter and Fire Captain as shown in the Position Classification and Salary Plan for the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, be amended as follows, effective January 1, 1979: FIRE DEPARTMENT RANGE Steps --- A B C D E Firefighter Monthly $1289,85 1354,34 1422.06 1493.16 1567.82 Bi -weekly 595.32 625.08 656.34 689.15 723.61 Fire Captain Monthly 1431.73 1503.32 1578.49 1657.41 1740.28 Bi -weekly 660.81 693.84 728.54 764.96 803.21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City's contribution toward hospital/ medical and life benefits for International Associationof Firefighters Local No. 933 employees, effective January 1, 1979, shall be as'follows: The City shall pay to the insurers from the funds of the City, for such approved group insurance coverage for Firefighters and Fire Captains, permanent' or probationary, regardless of their manner of selection or appointment, a maximum sum of $80.00 per month per employee toward 1 f hospital/medical, life or long-term disability.benefits offered by any insuring organization under contract with the City of StLouis, Park.; Adopted by the C y_CounCil March, 12, 1979.
