RESOLUTION REQUESTING MAXIMIUM ALLOTMENT FOR
GENERAL MAINTENANCE OF STATE AID STREET SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the cost of maintaining the Municipal State Aid Street
System in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, has exceeded the present state aid
maintenance apportionment of $1,500 per mile of improved municipal state
aid streets; and
WHEREAS, the City needs additional funds to satisfactorily maintain
the Municipal State Aid System in St. Louis Park; and
WHEREAS, Section 5-801.7 of the Highway Regulations of the State
of Minnesota, Department of Transportation, provides for a maximum of
25 percent of the total annual apportionment to be used for maintenance;
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park
that the annual apportionment to St. Louis Park, Minnesota of $50,000
be requested for maintenance of the Municipal State Aid Street System
for 1979.
Adopted by the City Council October 4, 1978.
