HomeMy WebLinkAbout5974 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1978/03/201 March 20, 1978 10d RESOLUTION NO. 5974 RESOLUTION REOUESTING CONDITIONS IN SPECIAL PERMIT, CASE NO. 77 -26 -SP WHEREAS, United National Corporation has applied for a special permit for its Planned Unit Development (PUD) at Knollwood Plaza; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have committed themselves to resolving areas of conflict between the developers and citizens of the neighborhood; and WHEREAS, the neighborhood committee has met in an attempt to resolve areas of difficulty; and WHEREAS, one of the areas remaining in dispute is landscaping in the PUD; and WHEREAS, the developer's proposals inadequately describe the landscaping; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED that the following conditions be a part of the special permit applied for and brought to the Council in this form on April 3, 1978: 1) The description of the landscaping on Texas Avenue and West 36 Street shall not be a narrative but rather an exhibit. Such exhibit shall include cross sections; elevations; sight lines; the type, frequency and species of plantings; and shall be discussed with representatives of the neighborhood prior to April 3, 1978. The objective of such landscaping shall be to screen parking areas from the residential area. The applicant shall provide this exhibit at a scale of one inch equals 30 feet.
