RESOLUTION NO. 5875
A RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMIT UNDER SECTION 14-141(9)
OF THE ORDINANCE CODE RELATING TO ZONING TO PERMIT
A 6 UNIT MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING AND 2 CAR DETACHED
GARAGE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE R-4 MULTIPLE FAMILY
DISTRICT AT 2900 JOPPA AVENUE
BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park:
Findings
1. Eliot Wolson has made application to the City Council for a
special permit under Section 14-141(9) of the St. Louis Park Ordinance
Code for the purpose of permitting a 6 unit multiple family dwelling and
2 car detached garage located at 2900 Joppa Avenue for the legal descrip-
tion as follows, to -wit:
The east 100' of the north 115.75' of the south
435' of the south one-half of the southwest one
quarter of the southeast one quarter of Section
31, Township 29, Range 24.
2. The City Council has considered the advice and recommendation
of the Planning Commission (Case No. 77 -60 -SP) and the effect of the pro-
posed 6 unit multiple family dwelling and 2 car detached garage on the
health, safety and welfare of the occupants of the surrounding lands,
existing and anticipated traffic conditions, the effect on values of pro-
perties in the surrounding area, the effect of the use on the Comprehensive
Plan, and compliance with the intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
3. The Council has determined that the proposed multiple family
dwelling and 2 car garage will not be detrimental to the health, safety,
or general welfare of the community nor will it cause serious traffic con-
gestion nor hazards, nor will it seriously depreciate surrounding property
values, and the proposed multiple family dwelling and 2 car garage is in
harmony with the general purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance and
the Comprehensive Plan.
Conclusion
The special permit to permit the 6 unit multiple family dwelling and a
2 car detached garage at the location described is granted based on the
findings set forth above and subject to the following conditions:
1. The site shall be developed, used, and main-
tained in accordance with Exhibit A, Site Plan.
2. Other than construction of a 2 car garage on
the existing concrete pad, there shall be no
other modifications to the existing site.
