RESOLUTION NO. 5 5 4
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF
PROPERTY FOR STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY
WHEREAS, the City Council of St. Louis Park has authorized and directed the
City Manager to negotiate with Pyrofax-Gas Corporation for the purchase of the fee
title to the land hereinafter described for public uses, and
WHEREAS, Pyrofax Gas Corporation pursuant to such negotiations, has indicated
their desire to sell said property to the City by Warranty Deed for the sum of
$8,115.80, now therefore
RE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of_ St. Louis Park that the City of St. Louis
Park purchase from Pyrofax Gas Corporation the properties in Hennepin County,
Minnesota, as shown on Exhibit A attached, and that the Mayor and the City Manager
are hereby authorized to execute any and all instruments necessary to complete the
purchase of said property and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
accept delivery of the deed and to pay the sum of $8,115,80 from the General Fund
to the said Pyrofax Gas Corporation as the purchase price of said property upon the
delivery to him of a Warranty Deed to said property accompanied by an Abstract of
Title or Owner's Certificate of Title showing_g.oad and marketable title of record to
said property, together with an opinion of the Law.Department of the City of St. Louis
Park approving the execution of the deed and the seller's abstract or certificate.

All that part of Lots 16 and 17, Block 164 and the easterly 30
feet of vacated Rex Avenue, which accrued to said Lot 17, by the
reason of the vacation thereof, Lots 31 thr'u 38 inclusive, Block 162
Lot 17, Block 162, all in the "Rearrangement of St. Louis Park",
according to the plat thereof, and of vacated Second Street South,
whish accrued.to said Lots 16 and 17, Block 164, and Lot 17,
Block 162, by the reason of the vacation thereof, across the
following, described as follows.
Beginning at the northwesterly corner of said Lot 31,
thence easterly along the northerly line of said Lot 31,
a distance of 59.00 feet, thence southerly to a point
on the northerly line of said Lot 33, distant 66.00 feet
from it's northwesterly corner, thence southerly to a
point on the northerly line of said Lot 35, distant
61.00 feet from its northwesterly corner, thence southerly
to a point on the southerly line of said Lot 17, Block 162,
distant 81.00 feet from its southwesterly corner, thence
southerly to a point on the northerly line of said Lot 16,
distant 21.00 feet from its northwesterly corner, thence
southerly to a point on the southerly line of said Lot 16,
distant 14.00 feet fro►n its southwesterly corner, thence
westerly along said southerly line and its westerly
extension to the center line of vacated Rex Avenue, thence
northerly along said centerline to a point on the westerly
extension of the northerly line of said Lot 17, Block 164,
thence easterly to the northwesterly corner of said Lot 17.
Block 164, thence northerly to the southwesterly corner
of said Lot 17, Block 162, thence northerly to the north-
westerly corner of said Lot 17, thence easterly to the
southwesterly corner of said Lot 38, thence northerly
to the point of beginning and there terminating.
Together with the South 10.00 feet of the East 10.00 feet of the
West 74.00 feet of said Lot 33, and the North 10.00 feet of the
East 10.00 feet of the West 74.00 feet of said Lot 34, measured
at rightLangles to the north line of said Lot 34.
