RESOLUTION NO. 5501
RESOLUTION ON TIMING FOR
ELIMINATION SPUR TRACK RAIL
SERVICE NORTH OF HIGHWAY 7 IN
LOUISIANA AVENUE PROJECT AREA
WHEREAS the 1976 Capital Improvement Program schedules the development of
Louisiana Avenue from Oxford Street to Walker Avenue including the lowering of
Highway 7 to provide for an at -grade signalized intersection with Louisiana
Avenue; and
WHEREAS the City Council has held a public hearing on the Louisiana Avenue
Project and approved the project design and authorized advertisement for bids;
and
WHEREAS the Louisiana Avenue Project and the lowering of Highway 7 eliminates
the spur track railroad service north of Highway 7 in the project area; and
WHEREAS the Deltak Company is presently serviced by this railroad spur track
north of Highway 7 in the project area and has been planning to relocate it's
facilities in the near future; and

WHEREAS the Deltak Company has no objection to the elimination of the rail-
road spur track serving their facility but does have concern regarding the tuning
of the aforementioned spur track elimination;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of St, Louis Park will
retain the existing railroad spur track service north of Highway 7 in the Louisiana
Avenue Project Area until February 28, 1977.
Adopted by the City Council April 19, 1976.
