RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF LAND
FOR PERMANENT EASEMENT
72-43 STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council of St. Louis Park has authorized and directed the City Manager to
negotiate with Chicago and North Western Transportation Company for the purchase of a permanent
easement as hereinafter described, for public uses, and
WHEREAS, the Chicago and North Western Transportation Company, pursuant to such negotiation,
has indicated its willingness to sell said lands to_ the City as a permanent easement for the sum
of $500.00, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of St. Louis Park that the City of St. Louis Park pur-
chase from the Chicago and North Western Transportation Company the following described lands in
Hennepin County, Minnesota, to wit:
A 10.00 feet permanent easement for storm sewer purposes over,
under, and across that part of the north half of Section 20, Township 117
north, range 21 west, Hennepin County, Minnesota. The centerline of said
easement is described as follows:
Commencing at the southwest corner of Lot 18, Block 57A,
Rearrangement of St. Louis Park according to the plat on file in the Office
of the Register of Deeds, Hennepin County, Minnesota; thence northeasterly
along the south line of said Lot 18 a distance of 45.00 feet; thence south-
easterly at a right angle a distance of 5.00 feet to the point of beginning
of the centerline to be described; thence northeasterly, parallel with said
south line of said Lot 18, a distance of 75:00 feet; thence southeasterly
at a right angle a distance of 95.00 feet to the northerly line of the
Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad right of way and said
centerline there terminating.
The last described course of the above description crosses the
Chicago Northwestern Railroad tracks 904.3 feet easterly of Chicago
Northwestern Railroad Signal Number 18
and the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute any and all instruments necessary
to complete the purchase of said lands and the City Manager is hereby authorized and,directedto
gccept delivery of the easement and to pay the sum of $500.00 from the General Fund to the said
Chicago and North Western Transportation Company as the purchase price of said lands upon the
delivery to him of a permanent easement to said lands.
Adopted by the City Council February 2, 1976.
