HomeMy WebLinkAbout5473 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1976/02/02FEBRUARY 2, 1976 RESOLUTION NO. 5 473 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF PROPERTY FOR STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY WHEREAS, the City Council of St. Louis Park has authorized and directed the City Manager to negotiate with Naegele Outdoor for the purchase of the fee title to the land hereinafter described for public uses, and WHEREAS, Naegele Outdoor pursuant to such negotiations, has indicated their desire to sell said property to the City by Warranty Deed for the sum of $3,000, now therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of St. Louis Park that the City of St. Louis Park purchase from Naegele Outdoor the properties in Hennepin County, Minnesota, as shown on Exhibits A and B attached, and that the Mayor and the City Manager are hereby authorized to execute any and all instruments necessary to complete the purchase of said property and the City Manager is hereby author- ized and directed to accept delivery of the deed and to pay the sum of $3,000 from the General Fund to the said Naegele Outdoor as the purchase price of said property upon the delivery to him of a Warranty Deed to said property accompa- nied by an Abstract of Title or Owner's Certificate of Title showing good and marketable title of record to said property, together with an opinion of the Law Department of the City of St. Louis Park approving the execution of the deed and the seller's abstract or certificate. Adopted by the City Council February 2, 1976. Mayor Attest: City Clerk Reviewed for administration: Approved as to form and legality: City Manager City Attorney PARCEL 10 EXHIBIT A All that part of Lot 7, Block 158, "Rearrangement of St. Louis Park", according to the plat thereof, and the southerly 10.00 feet of vacated First Street Northwest, which accrued to said Lot 7 and Lot 8, said Block 158, by the reason of the vacation thereof, lying northeast of a curve concave to the southwest having a radius of 200.00 feet. Said curve begins at a point on the easterly extension of the south line of Lot 8, said Block 158, distant 33.00 feet westerly of and measured at right angles to the northeasterly line of said Lot 7, and passes thru a point on the northwesterly extension of the northeasterly property line of said Lot 8, Block 158, distant 10.00 feet North, as measured at right angles to the North line of said Lot 8, Block 158. Containing 1560 square feet or 0.036 acres, more or less. • • r • PARCEL 6 EXHIBIT B All that part of Lots 1 and 2, Block 323, "Rearrangement of St. Louis Park", according to the plat thereof, lying north of State Trunk Highway No. 7, and west of the following des- cribed line. Commencing at the point of intersection of the centerlines of Pennsylvania Avenue and Walker Street, thence North 880 52' 05" East, assumed bearing, along the centerline of said Walker Street, 592.87 feet, to an intersection with the northwesterly extension of the centerline of Hurst Street (vacated) in the "Rearrangement of St. Louis Park"; thence south 57° 52' 27" East, along said centerline of Hurst Street, 285.43 feet to the point of beginning of the line here- in described; thence southwesterly 21.08 feet along a non-tangential curve concave to the southeast having a radius of 276.56 feet, cen- tral angle 4° 00' 20" (the center of said curve bears South 89° 35' 54" East from the point of beginning), to a point of reverse curvature; thence southerly 92.72 feet along a tangential curve having a radius of 343.31 feet, central angle 14° 00' 00"; thence South 80° 24' 26" East, radial to the last described curve, a distance of 5.00 feet; thence South 9° 35' 34" West, a distance of 150 feet and there termi- nating. Containing 5340 square feet or 0.123 acres, more or less.
