HomeMy WebLinkAbout5437 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1975/12/15• DECEMBER 15, 1975 6A RESOLUTION NO. 542 RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT IMPROVEMENT NO. 65-45A, B, C & D BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park as follows: 1. Notice of hearing on this improvement was duly mailed on December 1, 1975, and published in the official City newspaper, the St. Louis Park Sun, on November 26, 1975, as required by Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, and as ordered by Council Resolution No. 5430. 2. A public hearing having been held on this date and opportunity having been given at the hearing to all persons to make known their ob- jections to the proposed assessment, and the Council being fully advised of the pertinent facts, the proposed assessment as it deems just is adopted and shall constitute the special assessment levied against the respective lands therein described, and each tract of land is found to be specifically benefited by the improvements in the amount of assessment levied against it. 3. The assessment shall be payable, unless prepaid, in equal annual installments extending over the period of years designated in paragraph 4. The first installment shall be payable concurrently with general taxes levied in the year 1976, and payable in the year 1977, and shall bear interest at the rate of seven (7) per cent per annum from the date of the adoption of this assessment resolution. To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from the date of this assessment until December 31st of the year in which the first installment becomes due and payable. To subsequent installments when due shall be added interest for one year on the total of all unpaid installments. No interest will be charged if the entire assessment as to any parcel is paid at the office of the treasurer within 30 days from the date of adoption of the assessment resolution. 4. The number of years over which installments are to be extended is as follows: Imp. Lyons Addition; Lots 7, 8 & 9, Block 2, Lots 5 through 14, Block 4, all in Towles Minnetonka Boulevard Addition; all of Cobblecrest Addition and all parcels of land located within an -area bounded by Minnetonka Boulevard on 'the -,south, Cavell Avenue on the east, Burlington Northern on the north and Flag Avenue on the west. •1 A 40 Imp. No, Type of Improvement Location 65-24A, B, Storm Sewer Part B: All of the lands, platted and unplatted, C & D located in the south half of Section 7, Township 117, Range 21, described as follows: The W 1/3 of SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4, all of the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 excluding West Lynn 3rd Addition; all of the lands located in Auditor's Sub. No. 302; Lots 14 through 21, Block 1, Lots 7 through 12, Block 2, Lots 8 through 18, Block 3, South Westwood Hills 2nd Addition; all of the lots and blocks in Texa Tonka 3rd Addition; all of the lots in West Lynn 2nd Addition; all of the lots in Reg. Land Survey #373 and #230; and all of the land lying between the Burlington Northern Railroad right-of-way and Hutchinson Branch (Hopkins short line railroad) lying northeast of Minnetonka Boulevard. r Part C: Westling Lowland Outlet bounded in general by the Burlington Northern Railroad on the north, Cavell Avenue on the west, Minnetonka Boulevard on the south and Aquila Avenue on the east. Part D: All of the lands lying within the following boundaries: Approximately 300 feet north of Franklin Avenue on the north; County Road #18 on the west; Hannan Lake on the south; approximately 200 feet east of Flag Avenue on the east; also all of the lands located in Golf View Addition, Cedar Knoll Manor Addition and West Texa Tonka Hills Addition. which shall be extended over a period of twenty (20) years. 5. The clerk shall transmit a certified copy of this assessment to the county auditor to be extended on the proper tax lists of the county, and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes.
