HomeMy WebLinkAbout5434 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1975/12/01RESOLUTION N0. 5434 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF LAND FOR PERMANENT EASEMENT WEST 36TH STREET IMPROVEMENT WHEREAS, the City Council of St. Louis Park has authorized and directed the City Manager to negotiate with the Percy Wilson Mortgage and Finance Corporation for the purchase of a permanent easement as hereinafter described, for public uses, and WHEREAS, Percy Wilson Mortgage and Finance Corporation, pursuant to such negotiation, has indicated its willingness to sell said lands to the City as a permanent easement sub- ject to the terms and conditions of the attached agreement proposed to be entered into between the City of St. Louis Park and Percy Wilson, now therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of St. Louis Park that the City of St. Louis Park purchase from the Percy Wilson Mortgage and Finance Corporation the following described lands in Hennepin County, Minnesota, to wit: The northerly 30 feet of that part of Lot 1, Block 1, Park Center, Hennepin County, Minnesota, lying easterly of the westerly 700 feet and westerly of a line described as follows: • Commencing at a point in the south line of said Lot 1 a distance of 235.86 feet easterly of, measured along said south line, the southwest corner of said Lot 1; thence north 0° 51' 10" east a distance of 125.00 feet; thence north 55° 10' 15" east to the northerly line of said Lot 1 and then terminating. The southerly 20 feet of the northerly 50 feet of the westerly 505 feet of Lot 1, Block 1, Park Center, Hennepin County, Minnesota. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of St. Louis Park that the attached agreement is approved by the City of St. Louis Park and the City enter into the same in accordance with its terms and that the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute said agreement and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to accept delivery of the easement and to pay a sum not exceeding $8,000 from the General Fund to the said Percy Wilson Mortgage and Finance Company as the purchase price of said lands upon the delivery to him of a permanent easement to said lands.
