RESOLUTION NO. 5418 .
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF
PROPERTY FOR LOUISIANA AVENUE RIGHT
OF WAY
WHEREAS, the City Council of St. Louis Park have authorized
and directed the City Manager to negotiate with the owner and
mortgage holder of the land hereinafter described for the purchase
of the title thereto, the City having previously been given the
right to enter on said lan.' and construct the street right-of-way
commonly known as Louisiana Avenue extension.
WHEREAS, the owner and mortgage holder, pursuant to such
negotiations, have indicated their desire to sell said property to
the City for the sum of $15,000.00; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of St. Louis Park that
the City of St. Louis Park purchase from the owner and mortgage
holder the property described in Exhibit A hereto and hereby in-
corporated by reference, and the Mayor and City Manager are hereby
authorized to execute any and all instruments necessary to complete
the purchase of said property and the City Manager is hereby
authorized and directed to accept delivery of the deed and to pay
the sum of $15,000.00 from the General Fund to the said owner and
mortgage holder as the purchase price of said property upon the
delivery to him of a Warranty Deed to said property accompanied by
an Abstract of Title or Owner's Certificate of Title showing good
and marketable title of record to said property, together with an
opinion of the Law Department of the City of St. Louis Park approving
the execution of the deed and the seller's abstract or certificate.

A permanent construction easement for street and utility purposes
over and across a part of Lot 2, Block 1, Creek Terrace Addition; the
boundary to be described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the north right-of-
way line of Excelsior Boulevard and the east property line
of Block Three, Meadowbrook Manor; thence southeasterly
a distance of eighty and fifty-eight (d0.58) Lundredths
feed along the north right-of-way line of Excelsior
Boulevard which is a tangential curve to left having a
radius of three thousand eight hundred fourteen and four
tenths (3814.4) feet and a central angle of 1°-12'-41",
to the point of beginning of the boundary to be described;
thence north 0°-00' west a distance of three hundred and
sixty-two and zero tenths feet (362.00); thence north 90°-00'
east for a distance of ten and zero tenths feet (10.00);
thence south 0°-00' west a distance of one hundred thirty-
six and zero tenths feet (136.0); thence south 90°-00'
east a distance of ten and zero tenths feet (10.00); thence
south 0°-00' west a distance of two hundred twenty-six
and ninety-seven hundredths (226.97) feet, plus or minus,
to the north right-of-way line of Excelsior Boulevard;
thence northwesterly a distance of twenty and one hundredth
(20.01) feet, plus or minus, along the north right-of-way
line of Excelsior Boulevard which is a tangential curve to
the right having a radius of three thousand eight hundred
fourteen and four tenths (3814.4) feet and a central angle
of 0°-18'-03", back to the point of beginning and there
terminating.
