HomeMy WebLinkAbout5351 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1975/09/02SEPTEMBER 2, 1975 9B RESOLUTION NO. 5351 A RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMIT UNDER SECTION 6:092.8 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDING AN EXISTING SPECIAL PERMIT FOR AN OFFICE BUILDING LOCATED IN THE R-4 MULTIPLE FAMILY DISTRICT AT 6217 EXCELSIOR BOULEVARD Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park: Findings 1. Dr. Raymond J. Abel, Jr., has made application to the City Council for a special permit under Section 6:092.8 of the Zoning Ordinance for the purpose of amending an existing special permit for an office building at 6217 Excelsior Boulevard,. or the legal description follows: the east 1/2 of the north 1/2 of Lot 7, and the east 1/2 of Lot 8, Block 10, Brookside Addition 2. The City Council has considered the advice and recommendation of the Planning Commission (Case NO. 75 -53 -SP) and the effect of the proposed modifica- tions to the existing use on the health, safety, and welfare of the occupants of the surrounding lands, existing and anticipated traffic conditions, the effect on values of properties in the surrounding area and the effect of the use on the Comprehensive Plan. 3. The Council has determined that the modification to the existing office building site will not be detrimental to the health, safety, or general welfare of the community nor,will it cause serious traffic congestion nor hazards, nor will it seriously depreciate surrounding property values, and the proposed modifications to the use are in harmony with the general purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance'and the Comprehensive Plan. Conclusion The special permit to amend an existing special permit for an office building as permitted in Section 6:092.8 of the Zoning Ordinance at the location described is granted, based on the findings as set forth above and subject to the following conditions: (a) The site shall be developed, used, and maintained in accordance with Exhibit "A-1," Modified Site Plan. (b) Concrete curb stops shall be installed and anchored along the perimeter of the parking lot. (c) The structure shall not contain more than 1,290 square feet of floor area. (d) The parking lot shall be striped for 13 parking stalls. (e) Curbing, striping and maintenance shall be completed by November 1, 1975, and maintained thereafter. 0- , Adopted by the City Council September 2, 1975.
