HomeMy WebLinkAbout5347 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1975/09/22SEPTEMBER 22, 1975 8D RESOLUTION NO. " 3 4 7 A RESOLUTION SETTING MINIMUM TAX LEVY FOR SUPPORT OF THE ST. LOUIS PARK POLICE RELIEF ASSOCIATION WHEREAS, "Police and Firemen's Relief Association Guidelines Act of 1969" as amended, provides minimum tax levies for support of Fire and Police pension funds, and WHEREAS, said act provides that the minimum obligation may, by vote of the governing body of the City, be reduced to the amount levied in the preceding year for the purpose of the association plus sixty percent of the difference between that levy and the amount of the minimum obligation determined before authorized reduction, or levy taxes sufficient to provide the minimum level of funding, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the minimum levy for 1976 for the St. Louis Park Police Relief Association is hereby determined to be $182,797, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to transmit a certified copy of this resolution to the County Auditor of Hennepin County, Minnesota as provided by law.
