RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF
PROPERTY FOR PARK PURPOSES
WHEREAS, on June 16, 1975 the City Council authorized the purchase
of a parcel of land herein described on the west side of Westwood
Hills Park for the sum of $22,500, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of St. Louis Park that the
City of St. Louis Park purchase from Charles Schaub and John and Susan
Nagel the following described property in Hennepin County, Minnesota, to -wit:
That part of the south 1/2 of the north 1/2 of the south 1/2
of the northeast 1/4 of the southeast 1/4 Section 6, Township
117, Range 21, lying east of the west 413.7 feet, described
as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of the above
described tract; thence north along the west line a distance
of 163.97 feet to the northwest corner; thence east along the
north line a distance of 285 feet; thence southwesterly to a
point in the south line 250 feet east of the point of beginning;
thence west along the south line to the point of beginning for
Westwood Hills Interpretive Center, west side of Westwood
Hills Park
and the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute any and
all instruments necessary to complete the purchase of said property and
the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to accept delivery
of the deed and to pay the sum of $22,500 from the Revenue Sharing and
Park Improvement Fund to the said Charles Schaub and John and Susan Nagel
as the purchase price of said property upon the delivery to them of
a Warranty Deed to said property accompanied by an Abstract of Title or
Owner's Certificate of Title showing good and marketable title of record
to said property, together with an opinion of the Law Department of the
City of St. Louis Park approving the execution of the deed and the sellers'
abstract or certificate.
