HomeMy WebLinkAbout5320 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1975/07/07• • i • JULY 7, 1975 8B RESOLUTION NO.5 320 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILING OF APPLICATION FOR LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUNDS AND STATE NATURAL RESOURCE GRANTS WHEREAS, the Federal Bureau of Outdoor Recreation provides Land and Water Conservation Funds (LAWCON) and the Minnesota Legislature has continued the Minnesota Resources Commission Grants Program for the acquisition and development of land for recreational and open space uses, and WHEREAS, the City of St. Louis Park has designated several recreational and open space areas in its Community Development Program, Capital Improvement Program and Park Improvement Budget, and WHEREAS, the development of a creekside park/launch site along Minnehaha Creek adjacent to the Municipal Service Center, the acquisition/ development of the Westwood Hills Environmental Education Center and the development of a commons area in Shelard Park substantially meet the criteria and priorities under which these grants are awarded, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to apply to the Office of Local and Urban Affairs of the State Planning Agency for LAWCON and State Natural Resource Grant Funding for the above mentioned projects. Mayor Attest: City Clerk Reviewe&.for adm.jnistration: Approved as to form and legality: iiy anager City Attorney JULY 7, 1975 8A RESOLUTION NO. 5319 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PLACEMENT OF STOP AND YIELD SIGNS FOR TRAFFIC CONTROL BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that a traffic analysis having indicated that: (1) stops signs are warranted at the intersections of Hampshire Avenue and Franklin Avenue and W. 18th Street and Georgia Avenue; and (2) yield signs are warranted on the two W. 18th Street approaches to Hampshire Avenue, on the Edgewood and Franklin Avenues approach to W. 18th Street and on the Florida Avenue approach to Franklin Avenue; the Director of Public Works is authorized and directed to install such signs.
