RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, ORDERING
PREPARATION OF PLANS, AND AUTHORIZING
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS, I1v PROVEMENT
NO. 73-25, PAVING, CURB AND GUTTER
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park as
follows:
1. Pursuant to Council direction a preliminary report has been prepared
for the improvement designated in this Resolution. A notice of hearing was
mailed on May 4, 1973 and published in the official city newspaper, the
St. Louis Park Sun, on May 3, 1973 and May 10, 1973 as required by
Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, and as ordered by Council Resolution 4800.
2. A public hearing having been held on this date and opportunity having
been given at the hearing to all persons to make known their views on the
improvement, and the Council being fully advised of the pertinent facts, the
improvement is ordered to be constructed, in accordance with the description
in the not ice of hearing.
3. The Director of Public Works shall prepare plans and specifications
for the making of the improvement.
4. The Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official news-
paper and in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making
of the improvement under the approved plans and specifications. The advertise-
ment shall be published as required by law, shall specify the work to be done,
and shall specify the date and time at which bids will be opened by the City
Clerk and City Manager in the Council Chambers in the City Hall. No bids
will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied
by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to
the Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid.
5. The bids shall be tabulated by the Director of Public Works who
shall report his tabulation and recommendation to the City Council.
