RESOLUTION NO. 4644
RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, ORDERING
PREPARATION OF PLANS, AND AUTHORIZING
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS, IMPROVEMENT NO.
72-14 STORM SEWER
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park
as follows:
1. Pursuant to Council direction a preliminary report has been
prepared for the improvement designated in this Resolution. A notice of
hearing was mailed on August 24, 1972 and published in the official city
newspaper, the St. Louis Park Sun, on August 24, 1972 and August 31, 1972,
as required by Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, and as ordered by Council.
2. A public hearing having been held on this date and opportunity
having been given at the hearing to all persons to make known their views
on the improvement, and the Council being fully advised of the pertinent
facts, the improvement is ordered to be constructed, in accordance with
the description in the notice of hearing.
3. The Director of Public Works shall prepare plans and specifications
for the making of the improvement.
4. The Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official
newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon
the making of the improvement under the approved plans and specifications.
The advertisement shall be published as required by law, shall specify
the work to be done, and shall specify the date and time at which bids
will be opened by the City Clerk and City Manager in the Council Chambers
in the City Hall. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed
with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid
bond, or certified check payable to the Clerk for five percent of the
amount of such bid.
5. The bids shall be tabulated by the Director of Public Works
who shall report his tabulation and recommendation to the City Council.
