LOUIS PARK ZONING ORDINANCE WHEREAS, application has been made to the City Council by Jeffrey and Pricilla London for variance from the requirements of Sections 6:164.5 and 6:163 of the St. Louis Park Zoning Ordinance for the following purpose: to permit a 7 1/2 foot rear yard instead of the required 10 feet and a floor area of more than 10,000 square feet to allow expanding of storage facilities at the following location, to -wit: Lots 38-42, Block 177, Rearrangement of St. Louis Park WHEREAS, the Council has considered the advice and recommendation of the Board of Zoning Appeals (Case No. 72-29-Var.) and the effect of the proposed variance upon the health, safety, and welfare of the community, existing and anticipated traffic conditions, light and air, danger of fire, risk to the public safety, and the effect of the proposed variance upon the Comprehensive Plan, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that it is hereby determined that the special conditions applying to the structure or land in question are peculiar to such property or immediately adjoining property, and do not apply generally to other land or structures in the district in which said land is located, and that the granting of the application is necessary for the preservation and enjoyment of a substantial property right of the applicant and that granting of the proposed variance will not impair an adequate supply of light and air to adjacent property, unreasonably increase the congestion in the public streets, increase the danger of fire, endanger the public safety, unreasonably diminish or impair health, safety, comfort, morals, nor in any other respect be contrary to the intent of this' ordinance and the Comprehensive Plan, and that the granting of such variance will not merely serve as a convenience to the applicant, but is necessary to alleviate demonstrable hardship or difficulty, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that variance is hereby granted to the applicant for the purpose above set forth.
